Is there or could there be a language that could be considered perfect?

Torbjörn Gannholm at Cygni Östersund in northern Sweden is a senior developer who has been working as a readability reviewer at Google. In his article The perfect programming language he reflects on various language aspects from his many years as a programmer.

He compares Ada, FORTRAN, Cobol, C/C++, Java, JavaScript and much more. In addition to that he compares thread models and provides an example of how to construct you own language.

Interesting thoughts about security, readability, simplicity, performance, programming, immutability, transactional memory. This is must read!

What do you prefer?

Ada?

Haskell?

Or maybe JavaScript?

The article is based on a talk he gave on our annual tech conference – Cygni Tech Summit.
